What do we celebrate venerating the Blessed Mother with the title Mother of Orphans?

The maternal care that our Blessed Mary has towards the orphans, the little ones, the elderly, the needy, and the poor, inspires us to ask her to give us her eyes to see the needs of our brothers and sisters, and her heart to welcome the needy around us, making us sensible and not indifferent; we ask our Blessed Mary to give us her hands to do good and useful things to relieve the needs and sufferings of today’s orphans. We are all orphans, and we all need the motherly protection of Our Blessed Mary. Living under the protection of the Mother of Orphans means to know the gift that the Lord has given to each one of us. It is a great gift that leads us to find the way to heaven.
