THE PROCESS TO BE AN OBLATE OF MATER ORPHANORUM

After a period of knowledge and vocational discernment through the contact with the Oblates of final Vows, begins a period called aspirantado (aspired). Then, the first stage of formation follows, which is the postulancy. This stage can last from six months to a year, and the postulant receives human and spiritual formation. Then, she is introduced to the Congregation through the knowledge of the charism and spirituality.

The second stage of formation is the novitiate that lasts for two years. This requires great effort for the best spiritual formation, the study of the constitutions, and the knowledge of Religious Life.

During the first year of the novitiate, the young lady will not have apostolic duties or particular academic studies, but in the second year, she may experience the apostolic life in some communities.

After concluding the novitiate period, the young lady can present the application for Admission to the First Profession.

The five years of temporary vows may complete the human, spiritual and apostolic formation, according to the Charism and nature of Mater Orphanorum.

At the end of the temporary profession, the young lady can take Final Vows.

After Final Vows, the Oblate must continue with her permanent formation, where she grows personally and communally in wisdom and grace ...

THE HABIT OF THE OBLATE
